I have a huge storage problem! There's tubs of clothes that my son has grown out of, but I need to save them since I'm currently pregnant with my second lil boy. Then me and my husband both have clothes that don't quite fit, but we can't seem to get rid of them no matter how many times we go through them. And of course I have a bunch of extra blankets that we keep for the colder times. We've had a pretty mild winter here in Texas, so I never really had to drag out the heavy blankets. They just take up a lot of room in the closet and laundry room. A wonderful storage solution is vacuum storage bags!

Mr Stimer makes a wondorously easy vacuum storage bag set. There's three vacuum seal storage bags in each set. They each measure 24"x32" and are plenty big enough to fit a large comforter, pillows, a ton of clothes or pretty much anything else in them. The bags are made of 70 micron thick high quality hypoallergenic plastic that also helps to prevent mold, mildew and bacteria from entering the bags. They'll keep whatever you put in them fresh, clean and sterile.

The vacuum storage bags are so easy to use! I put one of my large comforters in one. It fit in very easily without having to cram it in there. I used a handy little tool that came with the bag to help seal the ziplock end. Then, I simply unscrewed the round cap, sucked all the air out with my regular house vacuum and screwed the cap back on. The round seal part has a stopper that only allows air to flow in not out, so no air went gushing in when i removed my vacuum hose. It only took about 10 seconds for my vacuum to suck all the air out and it was strangely satisfying watching my blanket shrink before my eyes. My blanket went from being about 6 inches thick to less than three! It was incredibly compact! I can very easily store this blanket on a shelf or under my bed without it taking up much room at all. I'm going to have to get more of these and go on a spring cleaning spree!! I love these! These would also be great to use to save space when traveling too!
