We rarely eat out, and I love to cook. One common problem I have is that my favorite knives are constantly getting dull by using them constantly. I firmly believe that every kitchen needs a good quality knife sharpener for ease of use, not to mention safety! My knives were getting pretty dull when I got an opportunity to review this wonderful knife sharpener by Lantana Chef.
The knife sharpener has a nice comfortable soft touch handle that is very easy to grip without slipping. It suggests that you hold on to it while you place it on the table. I tried that, and it's very sturdy and doesn't move at all. In fact, it's very comfortable! The sharpening part has three different grooves in it. There's a diamond rod slot for ceramic knives, a tungsten steel blade slot for coarse knives, and a ceramic rod slot for fine honing to eliminate burrs and to polish the knife.
I decided to sharpen my favorite knife that I use for just about anything from potatoes to pork chops. This knife is constantly getting dull and it was almost blunt when I decided to sharpen it now. First, I pulled it through the coarse slot about 5 times, it was very easy, I basically just drug it through. It already felt sharper after just the first pull. I then fine honed it on the fine slot by pulling it through another 5 times to remove the tiny burrs. My knife came out razor sharp and with a nice shiny edge. I was actually pretty surprised how quick it was with so little effort! I'm used to another similar sharpener that takes a good 5 minutes to get a nice edge. This sharpener took less than a minute to get a razor edge! This is the easiest, fastest sharpener that I've ever tried! It looks nice enough to stay on the counter too!

I've been wanting to purchase a knife sharpener lately. All of ours have gotten really dull and I just haven't gotten around to buying one. Thank you for sharing!
