We have three vehicles , a large utility trailer and a boat on it's own trailer along with a riding lawn mower, heavy duty dollies and other various things. So you can say that we have plenty of tires that we need to keep properly inflated. I was recently given the opportunity to review the EPAuto 2 pack straight lock-on tire air chucks, and I thought it'd be a very useful gadget for my husband to have in his collection.
The air chucks seemed pretty heavy duty and of good quality. They had 1/4-Inch Female NPT and a 3/4-Inch Hex. I guess that's pretty standard for a tire shop's compressors. My husband decided to use his small pancake compressor since it's really easy to carry around. He had to connect a 1/4 NPT to the female end in order to connect it to his air compressor hose. Basically, it's the same everything, the only thing he gained was the clip to keep it on the tire valve.
We connected it to the air hose, then simply clipped it on the valve. It successfully aired it up to the maximum. There was no shutoff, it just kept airing up until we unclipped it and removed it. It didn't appear to have any leaks in it. It's a pretty neat little gadget, and is perfect for airing up huge tires. However, for the average person, I don't find it too convenient since you have to stand there monitoring it the whole time it fills.
If you have a lot of tires you need to fill and need one for yourself, you can get one here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017S44ARO #LockOnAirChuck
