Life Quintessentials Silicone Oven Mitts

 I love baking and just cooking in general. A very important tool in the kitchen is a good potholder or glove of some type to handle all the hot pans! I'm used to old fashioned cloth potholders which have several downsides to them. They can't resist heat for long and if they get dirty, you have to throw them in the washer and possibly go without one for a day. Then you end up using a spare towel or whatever may be handy nearby. A nifty new solution is to use silicone baking gloves!

The Life Quintessentials silicone oven mitts came in an absolutely adorable vintage style box that would make an amazing gift! When you open the box, the oven mitts are neatly nestled in tissue paper and also came with a bundle of adorable cupcake decorational holders. The oven mitts are of extremely high quality and made with BPA-free silicone  in a lovely baby blue color. The silicone is very thick and durable. The inside of each mitt is quilted and very cozy and comfortable. A black liner is extremely well stitched with an embroidered brand name on them. The gloves are textured to provide an excellent grip. These are extremely high quality gloves and I'm proud to use them! 
 The decorative cupcake holders are of a teal lace design and you simply fold them to stand upright around your cupcakes. They would make an absolutely lovely dessert centerpiece! To clean the silicone oven mitts, you simply rinse the outside with warm water and hang up to dry on the attached loop. These gloves are very plsuh and so somfortable to wear! I was thoroughly impressed with them from the moment I opened the box!

 I tried them out by baking some cupcakes in my gas oven. My oven was at 350 degrees and I was able to comfortably grab the pan and even hold it for a few seconds without feeling much heat. The gloves were very easy to slip on in a hurry and it was very, very easy to handle the pan. They gave me a lot better coverage than my old potholders! I absolutely love these silicone baking gloves and I'm going to retire my clothe potholders to the back of some dusty shelf now!
