1-1/2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp sugar
2 cups milk
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup melted butter (can substitute oil or margarine)
First, get that waffle iron heating up!
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Individually stir in milk, egg yolks and melted butter.
In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold egg whites into the batter gently.
Pour mixture onto waffle iron and spread until about 1" from the edge. Cook just like any normal waffle or until it's golden brown.
