How can you imagine forever with someone who's leaving everything behind?
Callahan, a former army sniper, wants to make an escape from his past and everything he experienced at war, but most of all, just not feel. Feeling leads to pain and he's suffered enough. When he inherits a house on South Carolina's Kiawah Island, he packs his bags, lured by the peace and seclusion he thinks it will bring. But, Callahan never counted on meeting anyone like Trinity . . .

Trinity has always been the cute, and funny one, who most guys overlook in pursuit of her "hot" friends. She became used to being everyone's pal, until the day the young man she was attracted to, was drawn to her in return. He became her first great love, and first crushing heartbreak when she found him in bed with one of her closest friends.

To move forward, and to carry out her commitment to helping those in need, Trinity enlists in the Peace Corps, but not before returning to Kiawah for one last memorable summer. She just never imagined it would be so unforgettable.

Callahan doesn't want to get close to anyone-let alone Trinity. He finds her perkiness insufferable and her attempts to entice a smile distracting. After all, he's in Kiawah to leave all feelings behind. But when it comes to Trinity, who feels everything, it's hard not to feel something.

Neither expected to fall in love. And no one could have predicted how inseverable they'd become.

Prologue
Callahan

Three days.
That’s all I have left until this shit ends.
Three days shouldn’t feel like forever, not compared to the eight years I’ve bled to the Army. Thing is, good men have been killed in less time. In as quick as a blink, a squeeze of a trigger, or a small breath right before a grenade blows is all the time it takes to shove someone right out of life and well into death.
That’s what makes three days as long as it is. Three days is plenty of time to die.
My eyes tear when the wind picks up and shoots grime through the small hole of my lookout point. This blown out piece of cinderblock is only big enough to allow me a view of the street below, but not so small I don’t get smacked in the face with more filth. The tarp flaps above me as I spit out another layer of the dirt-sand mix spackling my teeth. Christ Almighty, I need a swig of the water resting near my elbow. But my thirst, like everything else has to wait.
I have a job to do.
I adjust my hips against the cracked cement of my bed, bathroom, and home all rolled into one, thankful that the agonizing ache stretching over the lower half of my body has settled into a now familiar numbness.
Out of all the points I’d scouted, and all the accumulated years spent in this position, I should be used to it. And in a strange way, it should almost be home. Yet nothing ever has been home.
But in three days, maybe something finally will be . . .
I shove my thoughts away and breathe as my fellow Rangers stalk along the street. It’s then I see them, a mother and daughter walking straight toward my team. Less than one city block separates them from the men counting on me to keep them alive.
The hell? How did they get past the other sniper unreported? Rogers is new on watch. But the quick paces these two are taking should have clued him in that something’s up. I train my scope on their faces; their expressions are blank, unreadable. ‘Cept that’s not what keeps my attention.
The little girl can’t be more than five. So why the fuck isn’t her mother holding her hand? I lift my radio and bark a warning, dropping it beside me as I lock my scope dead center on the woman’s head.
The radio crackles and Modreski chimes in, yelling at his team to hold their positions. He asks me what my plan is, knowing if something’s caused the short-hairs on my neck to rise, he and the boys damn well need to listen. But I don’t hear him, with a breath and a squeeze of the trigger, I leave a kid without a mother.
Just beneath the sleeve of her abayah―the dress completely covering her body―I see it, a detonator that would trigger the explosives likely strapped to her chest. A few Rangers I know―Simons and Boreman, rush forward. I start to mutter a curse, pissed at her for making me shoot her in front of her kid. But the curse lodges in my throat when I see the kid isn’t looking at her mother lying next to her dead.
She’s watching my advancing team as she lifts the detonator clasped tight in her hand.

December 16

Violent death was never pleasant. The cold hadn’t diminished the smell of blood, piss and stool—or if it had, I didn’t want to think about it.
A dart, the kind animal control officers use in their rifles, was sticking into the ribs. Instead of delivering a tranquillizer, its payload was poison. The feathery stabilizer at the end was red and green. Very seasonal.
“Do we know what the poison is, Chief?”
“Looks like cyanide. Samples were taken from the last victim. I’ll let you know when the latest batch have been processed and compared.”
Igor Thorsen, Chief of Detectives and my godfather, bent down and offered me his hand. I let him pull me out of the crouch I had been sustaining for several minutes while I examined the body. I didn’t need the help, but it was a warm gesture on a cold night.
“I could use your help on this, Kathleen. People are getting nervous but I can hardly free up a detective for a serial cat-killer. I can authorize support services for a week and the East Hills Neighbourhood Group will pay your fees.”
I stripped off my gloves and ran my fingers through my hair, pushing back the auburn strands that had blown into my face. Time for a cut. Or maybe not. I didn’t have to keep up the uniform code for keeping hair short or worn up.
I looked up at the Chief. Way up. And I’m not short. Or particularly tall.
I nodded.
My name is Kate Garrett. Up until recently, I had been a rookie detective in the violent crimes unit. The chief was my boss. Almost one month ago my father, the Joe Garrett of Garrett Investigations, was killed in a pedestrian-vehicle incident. Now I was the Garrett of Carmedy and Garrett Investigations.
Last month I was a homicide detective. Now I was a pet P.I.?

Fans of Heidi Cullinan will devour this scorching new male/male series by Elizabeth Varlet. Behind the Sassy Boyz's seductive smiles and sinful dance moves are desires that will leave readers breathless.
Fitch Donovan never thought a lap dance could change his life, but from the moment the gorgeous dancer's lips touch his, his world comes screeching to a halt. No matter how hard he tries, he can't shake the desire that rocks him to his core. He's longed for this passion all his life—he just never dreamed he'd find it with another man.
Sharing a soul-shaking kiss with a straight boy is the kind of drama Ansel Becke just doesn't need. Spotlights aren't made for two and Ansel prefers to keep things on a one-night-only basis. So when Fitch shows up asking for an encore, Ansel knows he should send his gorgeous ass packing.
Though Ansel tries to pretend that what's between him and Fitch is far from fabulous, there's something about the big, burly contractor that makes Ansel's world sparkle in a way no amount of glitter ever could. And Fitch will do whatever it takes to convince Ansel that when the thing you need most in the world falls right into your lap, you'd be a fool to let it go.

Thank you so much for hosting me at The Recipe Fairy. I’m thrilled to be here and share a delicious recipe.

Ansel Becke, the MC in Fierce & Fabulous, enjoys cooking and has begun a tradition of Sunday dinners where all his friends come to eat. During the course of the novel, we see Ansel cooking a tradition German meal. This recipe was handed down to him from his grandmother and there is a funny story about it in the book. I won’t spoil the fun, you’ll just have to read Fierce & Fabulous to find out the odd history of this recipe.

Oma Richter’s Famous Käse Spätzle

For the Spätzle
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tbsp butter (unsalted)
  • 1 tsp pepper (white preferred)
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

Whisk together the milk, eggs, & salt then add the flour slowly until combined. Place your Spätzle maker over a large pot of salted boiling water and begin pouring the batter to make your tiny dumplings. This takes practice so you may need a few tries to get the right length and consistency.

Cook the Spätzle for 1 to 2 minutes until they begin to float to the surface then remove with a slotted spoon.

For the Käse Casserole
  • 2-3 cups shredded Emmentaler cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 small onions (sliced)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 325 ° F. Sauté onions in a skillet with butter until tender & just slightly caramelized. This will take about 5 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, butter casserole dish. When the onions are ready, layer half of your boiled Spätzle and season with additional salt & pepper then sprinkle half of your cheese. Continue with the final portion of Spätzle and the rest of the cheese. Top with onion mixture.

Bake uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and browned on top.

Can these two lovers survive peer pressure, Joey’s reputation, and his alcoholism?

This time the stakes are even higher, as Joey forces himself to move forward while Dorothy is frozen in place. But when he learns of a devastating decision, Joey races to find her before it is too late. Truth, consequence, repercussion and modern medicine collide as pieces converge in this psychological, thrilling story, which begs the question: Can love really conquer all?

Greetings!

I’m so excited to be here at the Recipe Fairy for the premier of my blog tour. At first, I panicked. I’m not a chef, or even a cook! I can barely follow a recipe, let alone create one.(I know it was optional, but I do like to please.)
Then I realized, I’ll share a book club adventure I recently had!

Melt is chosen by many bookclubs because it isn’t so long and dense that it takes forever to get through (number one complaint by book club members: “I don’t have time to read long books!”) and also because it’s a fast-paced read (number two complaint by book club members: “The books are boring!”) And yet, it’s a literary book with lots of layers to provide fodder for discussion. It’s a book that invites you to add your own opinion — a book that challenges you to change your outlook on certain things. (And by the way, Signs of Life ups the ante.)

I visit Long Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Bronx book clubs for free — or rather, for a free meal ;) (I Skype everywhere else - and you will probably see me in my pajamas.) It’s always festive and fun, but one book club came up with quite the creative theme:

A Smashed Potato Party!

Smashed potatoes are mashed potatoes made with bourbon — thereby combining Jack Daniels and mashed potatoes, two key symbols in Melt. (The Jack Daniels continues in Signs of Life.)
Our hostess served the mashed potatoes in martini glasses, and had a toppings bar with everything from bacon to whipped cream (she served Sweet Smashed Potatoes too!)
We had a blast, as you can imagine. And the drink she served? Champagne “punch” — paying homage to a key factor in the book, both good and bad: punching.
“Good and bad” is actually an accurate way to sum up Joey, our dark hero: he is in a constant struggle with good and bad, and we don’t know until the end of the book which side will win.
Here’s a recipe for Smashed Potatoes! Don’t forget to add butter on top: melted!

SMASHED POTATOES

Ingredients
5 pounds potatoes; peeled and cut into chunks
(you might also want to try sweet potatoes)
(you might also want to try cauliflower, for a healthy version - but of course that wouldn’t fly in Joey’s house)

2 sticks butter; softened
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cup boursin cheese
1 cup bourbon
1/2 cream
Yields” 8 servings

Preparation:
Put potato chunks into a huge pot and fill with water just until potatoes are covered. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook until tender (approx 30 minutes.) Drain well, place in a large bowl (or you can use the pot.) Add butter, milk, salt and pepper — beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. In a small saucepan add bourbon and reduce by half over medium heat. Add cream and reduce entire mixture by half. Stir mixture into prepared mashed potatoes and fold in boursin cheese.

Suggestions for toppings bar:
crumbled cooked bacon
shredded or grated cheese(s)
chopped scallions/chives
herbed butter
sour cream
basil pesto
creamed corn
BBQ pulled pork or chicken
black caviar
olive tapenade
sautéed wild mushrooms
gravy
mini marshmallows
maple syrup
brown sugar
crystallized ginger
whipped cream

Whip ‘em up and enjoy your discussion of Melt. And if you live on Long Island or in NYC: invite me!

misTrust- Release Day

Title: mis(trust)
Author: Sarah Ann Walker
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: June 17, 2016
My mum's words always echo in my mind...
"You can never trust a man with your heart. Men don't know what to do with a heart that's been given to them- so they break it."
But what happens to the woman who trusts with her heart after he breaks it?
I know, she fractures and shatters.
Knowing the definitions of the words that have defined me, this is my understanding.
Trust- To give oneself over to believing in a person or situation.
Distrust- The inability to trust or believe in a person or situation.
Mistrust- To be suspicious of a person or situation because you have no confidence in them.
The words themselves are simple, yet the definition of mistrust is not.
There is an element of grey and undefinable to mistrusting.
And sadly, it's this grey undefinable that has hurt me most in life.
I wanted to trust, but I just couldn't do it anymore.
Then I met him.
And he became my black and my white.
He became the beautiful exception to everything I had ever known before him.
Sarah Ann Walker is a Scottish Canadian living in Canada with her son.
When not spending time with her son, Sarah drinks copious amounts of coffee reading and writing, while often (always) indulging in her favorite treat- dark chocolate with sea salt.

Running The Coast For A Cure
                                              By Al DeCesaris
                                  Genre: Nonfiction Memoir
                                                                        Paperback: 366 pages
                                              Published: April 9, 2016

Picture
The book is available on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/dp/0692687599/

In 2014, Al DeCesaris set out on a 1,935-mile solo run from Lubec, Maine to Key Largo, Florida. He ran to bring hope to his 10-year-old niece Jenna who suffers with Sturge-Weber Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening neurological disorder. He ran to create awareness and raise funds for medical research so a cure can be found.

For three consecutive months, he battled the rigors of the road, endured numerous injuries, encountered wild animals, and narrowly escaped getting hit by more than a few reckless drivers. Yet, he also experienced the generosity of strangers, had heart-warming interactions with families affected by this devastating disorder, and came to realize - with purpose, determination, and belief - even the seemingly impossible can be achieved.

Running The Coast For A Cure is one man's journey to make a difference for his niece. Told with humor and warmth, Al candidly captures the adversity he faced and the joy he experienced as he ran close to a marathon a day through 14 states down the East Coast. His journey of love and hope will have you running with him, and leave you inspired.

Picture
In each of us is the power to make a difference! This isn’t just rhetoric. This is something I wholeheartedly believe, something I’ve observed time and again. So when the cause of Sturge-Weber Syndrome – the rare neurological disorder that afflicts my 10-year-old niece Jenna – was discovered, I knew it was time, my time, to help further the efforts to find a cure.

I was determined to make a difference in Jenna’s life and in the lives of all those suffering with this devastating disorder. Thus, on the heels of my 2013 cross-country bike ride, which I chronicled in my book, Crossing America For A Cure: A Bicycle Journey Of Inspiration And Hope, I began training for a new charity event – a solo athletic endeavor that would have me running close to a marathon a day through 14 states down the entire East Coast.

I suppose I could have come up with something a little less arduous (no doubt, my legs would have appreciated it), but I wanted to do something unique and eye-opening to create as much awareness and raise as much money for Sturge-Weber research as possible. My plan was to run (walk … and even crawl, if necessary) on average 22 miles a day for three consecutive months from Lubec, Maine to Key Largo, Florida. Picking up each day exactly where I left off the day before, I would cover every mile (every foot actually) down the coast.

Now, it’s no secret I’ve never been much of an athlete. And I didn’t have the running experience that would lead one to believe I could accomplish something this ambitious. In fact, even though I planned to run close to a marathon a day, I’d never actually run a marathon. Still, I have something within me that I knew would make this seemingly impossible task achievable – purpose. My purpose is my desire to help my beautiful young niece Jenna live a better life. For her and because of her, I am inspired to fight Sturge-Weber Syndrome on her behalf.
Picture
Picture
For the past 10 years Al DeCesaris has volunteered his time and dedicated his efforts to fighting Sturge-Weber Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening neurological disorder that afflicts his young niece Jenna. Through charitable events, athletic endeavors, and his “For A Cure” books, he has created considerable awareness about the disorder and helped raise significant funds to further the efforts to find a cure.
CHARITABLE EVENTS:
Al’s crusade began not long after the birth of his niece. Recognizing the need and importance of raising funds for the research and treatment of Sturge-Weber Syndrome, he and his family organized a concert and auction fundraiser called Bands on the Bay. The fundraiser proved to be a huge success and motivated them to turn it into an annual event. Since its inception, Bands on the Bay has raised over $1,000,000. This money has directly supported the work of the Sturge-Weber Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute and helped fund research that led to the discovery of the cause of Sturge-Weber Syndrome.
ATHLETIC ENDEAVORS:
Even with the success of Bands on the Bay and the DeCesaris family’s contributions to this ground-breaking discovery, Al couldn’t help but think that there was more they could do to further the efforts to find a cure. More he could do.
In 2013, he set out on a solo cross-country bicycle journey in honor of Jenna. Despite great adversity, he biked over 3,000miles from Santa Monica, California to Ocean City, Maryland. Through his Crossing America For A Cure bike ride, he created awareness about Sturge-Weber Syndrome across the country, raised critical funds for medical research, and brought hope to his niece and countless others suffering with this devastating disorder.
In 2014, he took on another incredibly challenging endeavor, this time on foot. Running close to a marathon a day for three consecutive months, he logged 1,935 miles as he made his way from Lubec, Maine to Key Largo, Florida. Through his Running The Coast For A Cure charity run, he created awareness about Sturge-Weber Syndrome down the East Coast, raised additional funds for ongoing research, and inspired numerous individuals to join the fight against the disorder.
BOOKS:
After both his ride and his run, Al wrote books about his experiences on the road: the things he saw, the emotions he felt, the challenges he faced and of the extraordinary people he met along the way. His books about these athletic endeavors, Crossing America For A Cure and Running The Coast For A Cure, are honest, entertaining and, above all, inspirational.
Al’s “For A Cure” books are available for purchase on Amazon. To further the efforts to find a cure, Al is dedicating all profits from the sale of his books to Sturge-Weber research.

She has been writing fictional stories and poems since middle school, but it wasn't until 2009 that she found the inspiration to create her heroine Maurin Kincaide and complete her first full length novel, The Morrigna.

When she isn't writing, Rachel can often be found with her nose buried in a good book. An avid reader of Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Horror and Steampunk herself, Rachel founded Hallowread- an interactive convention for both authors and fans of those genres.

More information on Hallowread, its schedule of events and participating authors can be found at www.hallowread.blogspot.com and www.facebook.com/Hallowread .

She still lives in Maryland with her husband and three children.

Rough Terrain - tour header
Wes Davis left Vista Falls when the girl he loved got pregnant and decided they were too young and irresponsible to be parents. He signed the adoption papers, but he never stopped loving the baby he’d never met. Years passed, success found him, but there was a hole in his heart and life that he knew only one thing could fill. His son.
Sage Breville was stunned to learn her ex-boyfriend was back in town. With him came a rush of memories and questions about the kind of life they could have had if she’d been brave enough to stand up to her parents years ago and raise the child she’d so desperately wanted with the man she loved.
There were some wounds time couldn’t heal, and Sage was convinced there was no way back for them. But did Wes see it her way or was he ready to forgive… and move on?

MEET THE AUTHOR

Cheryl Douglas - Author Photo
When one door closes, another one opens. I closed the door to my business for the last time in 2011, which left me with a decision. What now? Find another location and move my nutrition business, go to work for someone else, or take a chance on my dream? I chose the latter and I’ve never looked back!
I’ve always loved reading and writing, but it wasn’t until I jumped in with both feet and decided writing would be my career, instead of just a hobby, that my muse woke up from her deep slumber.
It was like someone flipped a switch inside my head and stories just came pouring out. At the end of the day, I would often look at the keyboard and wonder, ‘Who the heck wrote that? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me!’
I don’t write books. I tell stories, or rather, I allow my characters to tell their stories through me. I’m not a plotter, never have been, never will be. Why? Because I have no idea how the story will evolve and it’s not my place to manipulate it. My job is to get to know these characters, figure out what makes them tick, then follow their journey wherever it takes me.
When I’m not writing, I’m daydreaming. Thankfully, I have an understanding husband and son who know I’ll re-join the land of the living just as soon as my muse decides it’s quitting time. I don’t work for myself. I work for her. She’s the boss. And I’m okay with that.

AP new - synopsis.jpg

Emma’s had it bad for Professor Faraday all semester. Despite her best efforts, Luke Faraday seems immune to the brilliant blonde who sits enthralled in his lecture hall every day.

When Emma decides to confront her enigmatic professor and confess her feelings, Luke has a confession of his own to make. Will his confession send her running? Or will it send her running straight into his arms?

Either way, Emma’s about to get more of an education than she bargained for.

***This is a Dark Fantasies Novella, fantasy being the key word. Get lost in the story, hold off jumping to conclusions, and brace yourself for the sweet surprise waiting at the end.***

AP new - excerpt.jpg

“Dr. Faraday . . .” she calls in that innocent voice of her. There’s a question in her voice.

“My place. Tonight.” I tuck my insatiable cock into my pants. “I’m afraid we’ve failed to fully meet his needs with our session this afternoon, so we’ll have to try again later.”

I wait her for to agree. Her body tells me everything I need to know, but still, I want her to nod. She does, her shoulders slumping in defeat as I pull a fresh shirt from my briefcase and button it on. Even after I’ve forced orgasm after orgasm from her, riding her hard, I can tell she’s still wound tight. Still needy.

Still greedy for my body and what it does to her.

After tucking in my shirt, I smack her ass as I pass behind her. She barely flinches, instead almost sinking into my palm, welcoming it to strike her soft cheek again. I give her what she wants.

“I’ve taken every part of you in the time we’ve been allotted, but tonight . . .” My fingers run down her cheeks, pausing to circle where I’m planning on having my fun tonight.

Her hips pitch back, giving me better access, and right before I free my cock to take her back there now, I pause long enough to take a breath. Tonight. Something to look forward to.

When I can take as much time as I want.

Giving her ass one last slap, I lower my mouth to her neck. Unable to resist, I suck her delicate skin like I played with her nipple earlier, until she’s arching her back and her tits are pointing at the ceiling. When I release her, I smile at the mark already starting to bruise her neck. Mine.

“Good-bye for now, poppet.” I run my fingers through her ponytail on the way to my briefcase.

After jogging up the stairs, I pause when I reach the door, unable to leave the room without admiring her from this vantage.

She’s still on the table, knees spread, wrists bound in front of her and forcing her massive chest to spill over her arms. The evidence of our fucking is still dripping from her, and her skin is flushed from the things I’ve done to her body. Her muscles and limbs are exhausted from the things I’ve made her do.

Her nipples look well-suckled, the mark on her neck is spreading, and she’s staring at me in a way that makes my inner demon gloat.

She’s everything I’ve ever wanted. Everything I could ever want.

And she’s all mine.

Excerpt #3

What am I doing?

That’s all that keeps repeating through my head. Why didn’t I run? Why didn’t I leave when I had the chance? He was willing to let me escape. Why didn’t I?

The questions keep storming through my mind, but I know the answer. I’ve wanted Luke Faraday from the first day I saw him. I’ve wanted him, and now that I know he wants me too, I can’t walk away.

Even though he scared the shit out of me at first with all that domineering and locking of doors, now I know he’s in on my little secret. I’ve been spying on him for weeks now. He was right—I did touch myself in my car, watching him strip, watching him do much worse . . . just thinking about his naked body, his hand shuttling up and down his cock in front of the window at night . . . my body responded like he’s actually inside me.

He knows about my obsession with him . . . but I know about his obsession with me. Going through my medical files at the campus medical building? If it isn’t illegal, it’s grossly unethical. Not to mention his comment about marking my chair with his cum after the first day of class.

Picturing him doing it, thinking about how I slid into that cum-marked seat the next day makes my nipples harden. He doesn’t miss it. He’s practically gloating, his eyes staring greedily at my tits, knowing what he’s doing to my body. Knowing that despite my best attempts to convince him otherwise, my body is priming itself for him, welcoming him closer, inviting him to take me.

I eye the door one last time—my body even angles toward it—but then I accept my fate. I’m not leaving. I don’t want to. Whatever dark urges he’s driven by, no matter the insatiability of his appetites, I’m his. I always have been.

From the time I first entered this room and fell into his web, I’ve been caught. He’ll have to throw me through that door before I leave it.

My hand moves down my skirt, slips under the hem, and moves up my wet inner thighs.

He reclines back into his chair, wetting his lips as he watches the show I’m giving him. Now that I’m resolved, my inhibitions are gone. Now that I’ve committed to my fate, I’m driven by my desire for him, unable to think of anything but our bodies joining.

I slide a little closer to him before touching myself. I’ve gotten to watch him get off a couple of times already—it’s only fair he gets to watch me. He’s got the goddamn front row seat to the show, so I might as well make it a good one.

                                      Iron Wolves MC, Book 3
                                                By Elle Boon
                                 Genre: Paranormal Romance

A NOT SO NAÏVE SHE-WOLF: Laikyn O’Neil has loved Kellen for years. Thinking to prove her love, she sets out to learn how to be a good submissive, only to find herself needing a savior.
THE RELUCTANT ALPHA: When Kellen Styles finds Laikyn in the last place he expected, he rides to her rescue, but then can’t stop his dominant needs from taking over. Sure that he has moved too soon, he backs off to give Laikyn time to come to terms with the fact that they are mates. Instead she leaves, thinking he didn’t want her.
AN UNDENIABLE BOND: Kellen is determined to claim his tempting mate and earn her forgiveness, and nothing and no one will stand in his way. When their world is suddenly rocked off its axis by vampires, fey and more, their pack will have to unite with these strangers in order to defeat the beings that threaten those they love.

“You would have saved me,” Laikyn said against his lips.
Her faith in him made him feel ten feet tall. “I’ll always protect you. You come first, middle, and last in my world. My every waking breath will be filled with your scent. I need you, Laikyn.”
“We should help Rowan unload the trailer into the barn for the night.” Laikyn nuzzled against his neck.
She fit him. He called her his kitten, and the way she was rubbing up against him, the soft little sighs, he truly thought the name appropriate, even though they were wolves.
“Alright, let’s get it done, so I can make you mine properly.” Kellen opened his door, climbing out with Laikyn in his arms.
“It’s a good thing you’re such a big man, Kellen.” Laikyn wrapped her arms around his neck.
He looked down at her. “Why’s that,” he asked letting her slide down the front of his body.
“You’re always picking me up, and I’m far from a small chick.” She stood on her toes and kissed his beard stubbled chin.
Kellen gripped her ass, bringing her flush with his hard-on. “Thank god for that. I love how you fit against me.”
Banging on the door had him growling. “Damn that Rowan.”
She laughed. “He is probably wanting to get home and practice making babies.”
“Boy needs to figure that shit out,” Kellen mumbled striding to the door.
At the door Rowan and Lyric stood with worried expressions. Rowan held his hand up, ready to knock again. “I know how to make babies. I just enjoy the practice. Tell her we are ready to do the making and its game on. Now, what the fuck happened?”
They spent the next few minutes getting the trailer in the barn, then Kellen ushered the couple into the large log home. After he shared the information Damien had given them, Rowan began to pace.
“How do we protect the entire pack if he decides to pull the same shit on them that he did on you two?”
“Forewarned is forearmed, man. Besides, I can share with everyone at once.” Kellen kept his tone level.
Lyric stood in front of Rowan. “He’s the alpha, remember.”
“So do you send out a call or text?” Humor laced Rowan’s voice, but Kellen saw through to the real worry.
Kellen nodded. “Something like that. I believe a mind-fuck some might call it, but I will do a little love tap first. I hate to bombard everyone at once, however it must be done now. I’m going to give Xan a heads up first.” Kellen gave Laikyn a kiss. “You will have to ignore his snarly attitude.”
“What do you mean?” Laikyn blinked up at him.
“I don’t plan to keep you out, so when I tap on Xan’s mind, he’ll more than likely be snarling back at me. Ignore him.”
Within minutes Kellen and Xan were mind-speaking, luckily he and Breezy weren’t in the process of doing the deed, making the snarling minimal. As Kellen’s second, Xan would help Kellen funnel the information throughout the pack.
“I say we use Rowan and his link with Lyric as well. He’s a strong alpha, not to mention a force to be reckoned with,” Xan suggested.
