I was given the opportunity to review these premium desert flat boot shoelaces from Shoeslulu recently. As my husband has a distressing habit of destroying shoelaces on his work boots, I leaped at the chance to try a different style than we usually have.
For some reason, the shoelaces that came with my husband's boots tend to separate into different layers by having the outer layer slowly unravel. Though these shoelaces from Shoeslulu were quite a bit shorter than the standard shoelaces, they were still able to fully lace up his boots. These shoelaces are nice and solid, and I don't see any danger of them unraveling at all. I decided to choose the color Bitter Chocolate, since I thought they'd be a nice contrast with the tan boots. As you can see, they actually look pretty nice! They're of a nice soft material, 100% cotton canvas that actually feels pretty nice!
My husband and I were pretty pleased with them, and I'll be buying me some for my shoes since they come in a variety of different colors that can match just about anything! If you'd like to get some for yourself, they're available here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01695QDSM #Shoeslulu

I absolutely love scented candles! I hopped for joy at the chance to review this Peter Cottontail scented soy candle. This all natural 100% soy candle is made by the Sugar Creek Candle Company, and they have a ton of awesome scents!
This 12 oz candle lasts 75 hours and comes in a nice thick, sturdy glass jar that can withstand being accidentally knocked over. It has a nice seal on the lid to keep the scent nicely contained when not in use. I love that it's all natural and made from 100% soy, which is vegetable based!
It smelled delicious when I opened it, and I had to just immediately try it out! The smell is very nice and fresh, it somewhat reminds me of fresh laundry mixed with spring, if that makes any sense. The candle lit very easily, and there was absolutely no smoke while burning. Within 5 minutes, my whole house had a light, fresh smell that I thoroughly enjoyed. Even after an hour of burning, I could still pick it up and easily move it without the glass being too hot, it was just barely warm. This candle is definitely very high quality, not one of those cheap knock-offs you get sometimes. I am going to completely enjoy it for the full 75 hours of burn time!

#http://www.amazon.com/dp/B014EN39GU As an avid home cook, I know how important it is to have a good measuring set! My old set that I've had for years is plastic and the writing has rubbed off over time. I recognize the sizes, but it's impossible for say my husband to measure anything without me telling him which is which. I was thrilled to review this attractive measuring set! They are made of high quality stainless steel with easy to grip silicone handles in a variety of cute colors.
The measuring set came in a nice manageable box. They were each in a plastic bag with zip ties holding them together snugly. It was a very secure, protective way to package them! The four cups in the set were measured at 1/4 , 1/3 , 1/2 and 1 cup. The spoon set was measured at 1/2 tsp , 1tsp , 1/2 Tbsp, and 1 Tbsp. These are all the basic measurements that you might need for cooking! Each set was held together with a sturdy stainless steel ring, so you won't be losing one anytime soon, if ever!
I decided to try them out when I was making a crust for a chicken pot pie for dinner last night. Since I'm used to cheap plastic cups, these were a little bit heavier than I'm used to, but that's completely expected with them being stainless steel. They measures everything flawlessly and were easy to grip with the silicone handles.
I love the look of these, the colors are VERY attractive! Since the measurements are engraved in the handles, they're guaranteed to never wear off. I'm throwing out my old cups, because I'll never have to buy another set for the rest of my life! I absolutely love this set, and they're getting an honorary spot in my gadget drawer! If you'd like to get one of these neat sets for yourself, they're available here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B014EN39GU **I was not paid for this review! I received this product heavily discounted for my honest review!** I was thrilled when I was asked to review this unique digital cooking thermometer by Chef Remi! As my last thermometer broke a few years ago, I've just never gotten around to ordering a new one. I was always guessing if my food was cooked thoroughly, usually by cutting into it a few times to check for pinkness etc. The digital thermometer came nicely packaged in a nice little case with an easy carrying string, perfect for packing for lunch at the park or camping! The thermometer has a nice LCD instant read display that really does give you results within a few seconds. I've never had a thermometer give me a reading this fast! It also reads in Fahrenheit or Celsius and has an auto-shutoff within 10 minutes, so you don't have to worry about it sitting there eating up the battery if you forget to turn it off. The display is very easy to read and very simple to use and understand. It came with instructions, but I barely had to glance over them to immediately understand how to use this digital thermometer. It also has a setting where you can save your last reading, which is a huge bonus to keep track of the progress of your food! I decided to broil a whole chicken in my grease-less fryer to truly test out the accuracy of the thermometer. Within about 10 seconds of placing the thermometer, I got a perfect reading of 168.4. A chicken is done at 165 degrees, so it was spot on, with my chicken cooked perfectly! Normally, I probably would've cooked it a little longer since I have to guess at the doneness. As my family was getting quite hungry, this proved dinner was done, and we were able to immediately dig in!
Overall, I am very impressed with this digital thermometer and how simple and quick it was to use! This is definitely going to quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools, and I can't wait to test it out on other foods! Thank you Chef Remi for making such an amazing thermometer! Last week, my husband was the victim of credit card theft! We found out when his card was denied at the gas station at the worst possible moment. Once he looked at his account on his phone, it showed a few purchases in Austin, a city 45 minutes away from us. Well, we haven't been there in about 3 months! His card was shut down, and we had to apply for a new one. It was a huge hassle! So, somehow his card information was stolen right out of his wallet without it ever leaving his possession! How the heck does that even happen?!?! We have suspicions about when we purchased some lumber, the checkout girl had a friend sitting there on her phone. We believe that's when the theft happened since that was the last purchase my husband made before charges started showing up in Austin. So, somehow this girl stole his card info from 5 feet away! When I was given the opportunity to try these nifty RFID card protectors out, I just about tripped over myself to go order them! Once the new card comes in, we're definitely keeping it in one of these! You really don't know how much you use your card in everyday life until you don't have it! It's a true pain!
Honestly, when I first opened the shipping box, I thought it was empty! They used a huge box and then taped this tiny credit card sized pack to a big piece of cardboard. They really could've saved some money just putting it in a regular sized envelope or something.
Once I unwrapped them, all I thought they were all too cute! As you can see, they're in a wide variety of designs that will fit anybody's style. There's a few that are a little feminine, but my husband will be happy to have any except the pink and the tiger striped one (which are my favorites!).
The outside seems to be a light cardboard type material, while the inside seems coated with some kind of aluminum type material.
I loaded all my cards in my wallet up in them, and they all fit very nicely! It looks pretty cute too! Overall I'm pretty impressed with how slim and nice looking they are. As if to they work or not, well time can only tell! But they sure look cute, and I feel a little more secure knowing that somethings guarding my cards now! I still don't get how someone can steal my card information without ever seeing the card, but I know firsthand that it's entirely possible!! Hopefully these nifty little cardholders can guard them now!

I was given the unique opportunity to review this awesome Moscow Mule copper mug. Apparently, these cool mugs have a unique backstory to them! (Quoted from the box)The "Moscow Mule" is actually an alcoholic cocktail that was invented in 1941 by John A. Morgan, president of Cock N' Bull products and restaurant; John G. Martin , president of G.F. Heublein Brother Inc. ,and the third was Rudolph Kunett, president of the Pierre Smirnoff. In 2012, a Moscow Mule kit that included Cock N' Bull Ginger Beer was included as part of Oprah Winfrey's Favorite Things list! The Wall Street Journal published an article about the rampant disappearance of the unique copper mugs from local bars. The situation was so bad that bartenders were holding the ID's and credit cards of customers so they didn't steal the unique mugs. The Moscow Mule is an all-around great drink. It's gingery kick makes it warming in winter, yet the lime flavor makes it refreshing in hot weather too!
On the side of the box, it had the above history as well as the original Moscow Mule recipe!
Moscow Mule Recipe (for 16 oz mug) 1-1/2 -2 oz vodka 1/2 oz lime juice 4-6 oz of ginger beer ice cubes lime wedge Squeeze lime juice into Moscow Mule mug. Add 2 or 3 ice cubes. Pour in the Vodka. Fill with cold ginger beer. Garnish with a wedge of lime and serve with a stirring rod.
When I unpacked the mug, I was impressed with how well packaged it was! It was wrapped in tissue paper, wrapped inside of bubble wrap, wrapped inside a plastic bag! That shows me that they care about how the mug gets to you!
Once I got it all unwrapped, I was definitely impressed with how shiny and beautiful it was! It was almost glowing and just lovely! The Moscow Mule Mug is made of 100% pure copper and it really is just beautiful! It is NOT microwave or dishwasher safe however!
Since it was the morning time, and I'm currently pregnant, I decided to try out my morning coffee in it. I have my favorite glass Coke mug that I love since it's larger than a regular mug. As you can see, compared next to each other, it looks bigger. However, when I transferred the coffee to the Moscow Mule Mug, it filled it perfectly! OK, I'm officially in love with it now!
It held the heat of my coffee great for a while, though I think it'd work a lot better with cold drinks. I absolutely love this beautiful mug, and believe it's my new morning favorite!

I had the opportunity to try these lovable little bottles out recently! These durable little squeeze bottles came in a very nice little box that would be perfect for gifting! They're very soft, yet they're made of a very strong, resilient material. They have a suction cup on the back of each one to hand on a shower wall, mirror or wherever else you might desire them. I got a three pack with blue, orange and purple, which are perfect gender neutral colors for anybody. They're nice and small, travel-sized , but still hold plenty in them with a 3oz capacity.
On the neck of each bottle, you can swivel the display to show either soap, shamp , cond, sun, lotion or blank so that you can easily know what you have in them! They're a little hard to turn, so I suggest setting them while they're empty.
The suction cups actually held up pretty well, even my six year old son had an easy time putting them on the shower wall!
They were very easy to fill, we put shampoo in the blue one. When I did the drip test, not a single drop escaped, yet it was nice and easy to squeeze out the desired amount we needed.
Overall, I instantly fell in love with these cute little bottles, especially with the soft texture that they have! I can't wait to take these on our next camping trip! You should pick some up too!
