The Practico Kitchen ice cube tray is made of a soft, flexible silicone that is also BPA free and FDA approved. They have an embedded steel rim around the edges to prevent flimsiness and spilling.  Each cube measures 1.4" across and easily removes by flexing the bottom of the tray and pushing the cube up. Each cube is perfectly formed and the 9 cube compartments are separated and make is easy to remove the cubes without them sticking together if you fill it only to the edges of each square.
   I love these ice cubes! I throw them in my nightly glass of ice water, and I'm all set to go! They come out so easily! These would also be great to freeze juice or even baby food in!

 I've been doing a lot of reviews lately and some of them need videos for. My husband was getting pretty tired of always being coerced into recording me doing mundane seeming things.  I live in a pretty small house and storage is always a challenge for me. My usual way of storing my mops and brooms was to just lean them in the corner between the fridge and a counter. I hate how they'd somehow get tangled up whenever I tried to pull one out. I found a simple solution to keep them organized with the HS Home Solution Mounted Broom and Mop Holder.

  The mounted holder is grey and comes with a set of 6 screws along with sheetrock screws if you need to. It was very easy to install, just level it in a good place and screw it in! There's 5 ball slots that hold up to 2.5cm in diameter. There's also a square rubber brake that can be moved to accommodate brooms up to 3 cm if you need it. Six handy hooks fold down if you need to hand cleaning clots or light buckets on them as well. To put a broom or mop in, just slide it in from the top and gravity makes the ball grip it in place. I found these to hold my broom and mop very securely! Now I can easily grab one without fighting all the others and my corner looks so much better!

 Eating healthier is becoming more important nowadays. Finding different ways to cook vegetables that the kids will eat is also a great challenge. A great way to "sneak" some veggies in is to spiralize them!

 The More Cuisine Essentials Spiralizer comes in a nice burgundy wine color. It's pretty small, which makes it easy to store in a drawer. No assembly is required straight out of the package, it's ready to go! The package includes the double ended spiralizer, a spiked cap to help push veggies in and a nifty little cleaning brush. It's intended to use with cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, radish, and potatoes. The different ends give you different sized spirals, one slightly larger than the other.

 The spiralizer was very easy to use with soft vegetables. I tried doing a small potato in it the other night, but it didn't even begin to cut it. When I tried a cucumber, the larger side worked wonderful, but the thinner side didn't really slice the noodles all the way through. Maybe if I tried firmer pressure, it might have cut better, but I was applying firm pressure the whole time. If you prepare soft vegetables on the larger side, it works magnificent. Forget about using it for potatoes or any other hard vegetable though. It kind of let me down since I've tried other More Cuisine products and they were awesome!

 I'm starting to really be a huge fan of silicone baking materials! After years of frustrating food sticking to my pans, I've finally tried out a silicone baking mat. I am absolutely impressed with the results!

 The Gore Green Silicone baking mat is 16.5" x 11.6" and easily covered most of my standard sized baking sheet. It rolls up very nicely to easily store in a drawer without taking up much room at all. Setting it up was the easiest I've ever done- I simply laid it in my pan and placed my cookies on it, then just popped it in the oven! I loved that I didn't have to spray my pan or use troublesome parchment paper that doesn't always work right. My cookies baked perfectly and easily came off without sticking the slightest or leaving any residue behind at all! The mat didn't even seem to be dirty even after baking three batches of cookies! To clean, I basically just rinsed it off. They are also dishwasher-safe too! The silicone baking mat is reusable and seems very durable. I'll be using this baking mat over and over again- I love it!

 I love baking and cooking, I make homemade meals every day! One of my favorite things to make is homemade tortillas! My husband and my six year old son love them, and I usually have to chase them out of the kitchen while I guard the tortillas until dinner is ready. If I turn my back for a second, I'll see a tortilla fly off around the corner like magic. I'm used to a regular old fashioned rolling pin with the handles, but the handles always seem to get in my way somehow. I was thrilled to try out The Original French Rolling Pin since it seemed to be exactly what I needed!

 The rolling pin is made of 100% beech wood and is one solid piece of wood without seams or nooks that leave tracks in your dough. One thing I hated about my old rolling pin was the sharp square edge that would make my dough uneven with marks sometimes. The French Rolling Pin has smooth tapered edges and measures a wonderful 18" long. It's definitely big enough to comfortably roll out pie crusts and large tortillas without having to layer your rolls. 

 I tried out the French Rolling Pin to make tortillas last night, and it was wonderful! I like to make my tortillas super big and had no problem doing it with this pin! It was so easy to use and I could get the full roll in by even rolling back onto my wrists at the end comfortably. I loved having my hands directly on the rolling pin for way better control than the traditional rolling pin with handles. Each roll was one smooth motion and my tortillas came out bigger and thinner than they usually do! They were the best tortillas I ever made! I generously use flour to keep the dough from sticking, but nothing seemed to stick to the pin at all. The pin came with some handy care tips, and when I was done, I rinsed it off without soap and toweled dry. Then I let it air dry for the rest of the night. This pin is nice and thin and easy for me to store in a little cranny with my baking sheets. I absolutely love this rolling pin, and I'm going to retire my old clunky pin to the storage now!

  A favorite fruit that me and my family love to eat is Pineapples. While delicious, they are always a mess! It's always a pain to prepare the pineapple though. first you have to chop off the top and cut off the outer peel. Then you have to slice it all up, losing a ton of juice and making a huge mess all over the place. When I used this simple little pineapple gadget by RubiWo I was pleasantly surprised. I've never prepared a pineapple so fast and effortlessly!

 The pineapple corer slicer is incredibly easy to setup and use. The package includes a stainless steel sharp blade, a black plastic handle and a little pair of serving tongs. To setup the tool, you just simply pop the handle into the top of the corer blade and you're ready to go. Chop the leafy top off the pineapple and set aside. Using a firm downward pressure, center the tool on the pineapple and twist it until it goes all the way through. It cores the pineapple as well as slices and peels at the same time. It cleaned out my pineapple very well leaving just the outer shell with almost no pineapple remnants left. The slices are nice, clean and perfectly uniform. There was almost no juice leakage, it was very clean and mess- free!  My family loved the neat little easy to eat slices. They were packed full of juice and so delicious and easy to handle. I've never prepared a pineapple this fast and effortlessly!!

As you can see,  it only took about a minute to get the pineapple completely prepared.

 Lately I've been seeing a lot of pictures and videos of people making artistic pancakes with pancake pens. I'v never done it before and was thrilled when Smokeyjazz offered me a pen of my own to try out!

 THe smokeyjazz pancake pen is very simply made, but delivers amazing results! The pen itself measures 11.5 inches long and 3" wide which seems big, but it actually fits in the hand very well and is easy to handle.  The pen is made of durable contoured plastic and the tip is heat resistant up to 600 degrees! You definitely don't have to worry about the tip melting if you touch it to the pan! The pen has a screw bottom on one end for filling with batter. The other end has the pen tip with a nice clear lid that helps keep it from leaking. You can also easily store extra batter in the fridge as well!

Filling it was very easy to do. I simply mixed up my desired amount of batter, unscrewed the bottom cap and poured the batter in. The opening was nice and large and very easy to pour the batter in without it spilling all over the place. I barely spilled a single drop and that was when I was using a spatula to scrape the bowl clean. The pen holds up to 3 cups of batter which is actually a lot! I only did a small batch of 6 pancakes for me, my husband and my son and it wasn't even halfway full. 

 Using the pancake pen was incredibly easy. For having such a wide tips, it actually created some pretty fine lines. Me and my six year old son had a ton of fun coming up with different designs to draw with the pen. The possibilities are endless! Just make sure that you don't take too long drawing with your pen before flipping, or else they'll get a little toasty on the parts you first drew in! The pen was very comfortable and very easy to control, my six year old was even able to handle it all by himself.
  This pancake pen is a really fun way to get kids involved with cooking and makes them excited about actually eating! I can't wait to get some more experience with this and create some more awesome pancakes!

  In this cold weather, my husband likes to take a big cup of coffee to work with him to sip on in the shop. One of his common complaints is that his current bottle is too small and he has to drink coffee out of a straw unless he takes the lid off. He works with granite, and there's a lot of rock dust floating around so he prefers to keep the lid on.

Made of stainless steel, this tumbler won't leak, spill or rust ever! It has double walled insulation to keep hot drinks hot for 12 hours and cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours as well as keeping the tumbler from sweating. One of my pet peeves is that a lot of bottles have weird nooks and crannies that are near impossible to clean. This results in a funky smell after a while that I just can't ever get rid of. This Royal Flask tumbler is remarkably easy to clean and I haven't noticed any funky odors whatsoever.
  The lid is vacuum sealed and has a handy sipping spout, so no more drinking coffee out of a straw for my husband! He can definitely feel a little manlier drinking out of this one! The lid is also dishwasher safe, but not too sure if the tumbler itself is. It's so easy to clean that it really doesn't matter to me though. My husband absolutely LOVES this tumbler and it's the only one he'll take to work now!
