Review- Alpha Shades Windshield Sunshade

Where I live, in central Texas, it can get ridiculously hot sometimes! Summers usually peak at around 105 or more most days. Even this winter has been unusually warm with the average temperatures a picture perfect high 70's usually. Since I have a black car, it can get extremely hot in there! I make sure to have seat covers and a steering wheel cover to help, but I've desperately been needing a good windshield shade.

The sunshades come in an attractive little pouch that is perfect for fitting under your seat when not in use. When I pulled the sunshade out, it immediately popped up into shape, ready to use. Installation was very simple, I simply put it in my windshield and put my visors down to hold it in place. It gave my windshield full coverage and significantly darkened and cooled it inside. Also included was two bonus side shades with one suction cup each. They easily fit over my windows but did not cover the whole window, just the middle area. Better than nothing though! They were easily see-thru but they did help shield some sunlight out.  When I was done with all the shades, a little bit of twisting, and they all fit back into the storage pouch very easily! This windshield shade is so much better than the accordion style one and is so easy and fast to put in place and take down! It really did cool my car down significantly!

Review - FM Transmitter HB01

*I was not paid for this review! I received this product free of charge for my honest opinion!

With everything going digital nowadays, CD's are becoming outdated. I have a massive CD collection that I've built up over the years just sitting on a shelf getting dusty now because I  have all my music on my phone. Unfortunately, not every vehicle has a radio compatible with receiving music from a phone. I had to pay a good chunk of change to get a bluetooth deck in my main car, and I absolutely love it, but it still cost a lot. I can't afford to outfit all of our vehicles with a bluetooth deck, so I decided to try the next best thing- an FM transmitter.

The FM transmitter was super easy to install. It's all a one-piece system. You simply plug one end into your cigarette lighter and plug the other end into your phone's earphone jack. You then find a station that isn't broadcasting anything and match the transmitter and your radio to the same channel. The buttons on the transmitter help you to easily scan through and find any station in the spectrum. I tried it out in my husband's secondary car- a little 97 Camry that he likes to drive to work since it's a standard and he thinks it's fun to drive. The quality is very good as long as your phone is turned all the way up. I started out with my phone about halfway turned up, and there was a weird whining noise in the background. After a few minutes of playing around with it, I turned my phone all the way up and the weird noise disappeared. It has way better quality than this other transmitter we have. The other one we have is battery operated and only plugs into the phone. That one will easily skimp out on the signal even though it'll be a foot away from the antennae. I think this FM transmitter is much better since it makes direct contact from phone to car and won't lose the signal.
If you'd like to listen to your phone on your car radio, you can get one here:

Review -  Lasergrip IR-40 Dual Laser Non-contact Digital IR

*I was not paid for this review! I received this product free of charge for my honest opinion!

I've had a little bit of experience with digital IR thermometers. My husband recently got a thermometer that looks just like this but a different brand, and that thing was highly inaccurate! This thermometer, however, was spot on accurate and I'm very pleased with it!
Picture
Picture
The infrared temperature gun came with a really nice synthetic leather holster that includes a belt loop to keep it easily on hand for extended jobs. This would be invaluable to a home inspector! A battery was thoughtfully included with the set, so everything is ready to go out of the box. Installing the battery was easy, you just pulled open the handle, attached the battery to the contact points and closed it back up.
Once you turn on the thermometer, it is automatically on Celsius for some reason. You have to press and hold the mode button for a few seconds for it to switch over to Fahrenheit. There's memory settings where you can store up to 20 readings with a LOG function. The memory function also automatically recalls your last reading. The minimum reading is -58 F and the maximum is 1202 F , which is a very broad range to measure just about anything you can possibly think of. You can also adjust the temperature from .10 - 1.0 degrees to ensure accurate measurements. There is a handy backlight that you can toggle on or off independently of the laser. There is an automatic shutoff of 15 seconds on the laser to help conserve the battery.
This thermometer is very accurate. I tested it out by trying my son's temperature. Within a few seconds, it gave me a completely accurate reading of 86.0 of his forehead. I tried to capture it in the photo, but by the time I got my camera centered, I moved the laser and the temp went down a fraction of a degree. Still, it was very accurate and gave me a lightning quick reading. I'm very impressed with the accuracy and the range of functions with this IR thermometer!

Review - ShuoGe 2-Port Car Charger

I* I was not paid for this review! I received this product free of charge for my honest opinion!

With all the apps and whatnot running on our phones nowadays, it can be challenging to keep them charged. I can't tell you how many times my phone has died while I'm far away from a charger. A simple solution is to have car chargers, but they seem to frazzle out, or lose connection. My car charger would have to be at a certain angle with the wire at a certain angle, and it'd hopefully charge my phone. If I was lucky. I was offered to review this nifty charger by ShuoGe, and I must say I'm impressed!

The two port charger is nice and compact, it measures 2.5" long by 1" wide at the port area. The ports are labeled 2.4A and 1.0A . They both easily accommodate a standard USB plugin. The two port charger cmes in a nice black color that matched my interior very well and has is textured for a nice grip. The charger made great contact when I plugged it in and didn't shake loose, even over a bumpy road. I was somewhat surprised when I plugged it in and a nice blue light came on around the edges, making it very easy to find in the dark. The light is definitely bright enough to see, yet soft enough to not distract you while you're driving. I was very easily able to charge our phones using both ports and they actually seemed to charge slightly faster that my old charger. I am impressed with this charger, and absolutely love the look and feel of it.

Review - LK Baby Back Seat Organizer

*I was not paid for this review! I received this product free of charge for my honest opinion!

I have a six year old son, and I'm currently expecting another little boy. A common problem I've had is having stuffed animals, books, colors, toys and food spread out all over my backseat, especially on long car trips. It's especially frustrating when we're on the highway, and something he needs has fallen to the floor or ended up on the other side of the seat out of reach. I have actually had times where I've had to pull over on the side of a highway just to retrieve a stuffed animal he somehow can't manage without until our next stop. I was given the opportunity to review this awesome back seat organizer, and it really has simplified car trips!

The back seat organizer was very easy to install. I has two fully adjustable straps with buckles that will fit over pretty much any car seat shape. I had it installed in a minute flat! It fits nice and snug to the back of the seat and doesn't flap around hitting your kid's legs like some other organizers. It has two rows of compartments. The top row has a clear plastic covered compartment that is perfect for a DVD player or i-pad. (My husband had the dvd player in his car at work, so I didn't get a picture with it). It also has two smaller pouches that are perfect for snacks, small toys or any other little object your kid might need at hand. The bottom row had a large middle pocket to easily fit a large stuffed animal, books or anything else you might need. It has two smaller pouched on the side of that also that fit a bottle or juice cup perfectly! My son was able to easily reach everything he needed in the organizer and it really helped keep all his critical items within easy access. I'm so happy to finally have a convenient travel system now!

Review- Car Bage Can

 * I was not paid for this review! I received this product free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion!

I have a six year old son and it's hard to try to keep my backseat clean! I can't tell you how many times I find food wrappers, french fries, candy and other misc stuff scattered all over my backseat and floorboard after a long trip. I've tries keeping a plastic grocery bag in the backseat, but somehow he conveniently forgets about it while he's absorbed in his coloring book. I was offered to review this awesome Car Bage Can by Vayeebo , and it's absolutely wonderful!

The Car Bage Can came neatly folded up and is fully collapsible at any time if you need to stash it out of the way. It easily pops up into a nice solid rectangle that measures 11.8" high, 7" wide and 11.8" deep. It came with a handful of plain plastic bags with handles and can easily accommodate a regular plastic grocery bag when you run out of them.  The inside part can easily be removed if your bag leaks or falls in case a zesty kiddo throws something in there that's extra messy. It's also waterproof, so if something messy does end up in the bottom, you don't have to worry about it leaking out all over your floorboards! When you don't want it open, you can easily shut the top with a velcro seal. The Car Bage can also has a handy little side pocket that I found perfect for stashing the extra trash bags. There's also two small mesh pouches on either side that would be perfect for keeping wipes or hand sanitizer in too! There's a strap with snaps that easily attached to the back of a seat or any other place that you may desire to anchor it to.
Overall, this Car Bage Can is going to greatly help me keep my car clean, and my six year old is actually interested in throwing his trash in there! It's very easy to clean and easy to stash away if need be!

Review - Leader Accessories Sheepskin Wool Shoulder Pad

* I was not paid for this review! I received this product free of charge for my honest opinion!

I like to keep my car looking nice and comfortable, since it's the one we like to take on long trips. I have my black leather seat covers, fashionable floor mats, cool steering wheel cover and a bluetooth stereo in it. One thing I did not have was shoulder pads. We recently went on a long 5 hour car trip, and my seatbelt was starting to chafe on my neck and actually rubbed it a little bit raw by the time we got back home. When I had the opportunity to review these shoulder pads, I thought they'd be awesome to have in my car!
Picture

The wool shoulder pads came in a nice gray color that perfectly matched my black leather seat covers and all my other accents in my car. They were extremely soft and very comfortable! Putting them on was a breeze. The open up and have a long velcro strip that is very secure. I just simply wrapped the cover around my seatbelt at the desired spot, and voila- instant comfort! I just had to take my car out for a spin with these on to try them out. They were nice and padded without being too bulky and definitely protected my neck from the seatbelt. They actually helped keep my seatbelt in place close to my shoulder so it didn't really ride up my neck at all. I'm very happy with these seatbelt covers, and they are so soft and comfortable!
